I passed my CNA exam last weekend and I have applied to Holmes, Palm Bay, Weusthoff in Melbourne and Rockledge. For those who put apps in a hospital how long did it take for you to get your job or at least a call for interview? I so need a job now and Im so tired of waiting but know that I must be patient but its very hard. I have put apps in since last weekend. I have found apprx 6-7 CNA positions open between those hospitals that I applied for and one of them has been taken offline. So Im thinking they either filled the position or they have enough apps and will be calling people for interveiws soon. Its a mother baby position and thats so where I would LOVE to be :loveya:! But Im willing to take anything.

Have you considered agencies or sitter services? While sometimes not very reliable
depending on area or company, I have found that these put you to work fairly quickly without the "waiting" or general b.s. They also pay better. Some places even let you get a certain percent of your pay daily.

I'm a CNA in Melbourne working in home health care. It is not my preference, but at least I am employed in the industry until I can get into a hospital or clinical setting. If you are interested, I can recommend a few Agencies that are hiring. I noticed that applying for CNA jobs online was a waste of time. You might have to go into the hospitals or facilities and speak f2f w/someone. Senior Lifestyle Communities and ALF's are always looking for CNA's. Good Luck.
