CNA night shift, weekends only

Is this shift hard to get, or easy because no one wants it? I keep seeing job listings for it...makes me think it might not be that difficult to get.

At my facility there aren't even enough NOC workers so the regulars can take their vacations. Not a lot of people (here anyway!) want to work those hours. And weekends are normally short for all shifts, not uncommon for people to get mandated. I don't think you will have any trouble at all getting those shifts! :)

No one wants to work that shift, especially young people. The night shift starts at 10 pm at my facility and depending on where you live, you have to leave at 9 or 9:30 pm. So you can't go out and party hahaha. People often don't show up on weekends so then you are short staffed and then it's hard. I always work the night shift on weekends and this is very common where I work. But in my opinion the night shift is the easiest of all.

I work 7p-7a Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's. I love it. It was really easy for me to get this position because, as someone else said, no one wants to work weekends especially not night shift.

Everyone is under the impression that night shift is easy and the workers don't do anything but that's not true. You are fighting your body's natural cycle. And where I work, we bust our ass on a nightly basis.

If you're really needing a job right now though I'd say go for it. If you don't like it you can always go somewhere else.

Good luck to you!
