Any CNAs who don't plan on going for LPN?
Just curious. Looks like most of the cnas here are either lpn students or plan on going to lpn school soon. (Or RN) Just wondering if any if you are staying on happily where you are. And do you find your co-workers look at you diffrently because of this? I ask becuse Im considering doing just that

CNA night shift, weekends only
Is this shift hard to get, or easy because no one wants it? I keep seeing job listings for it...makes me think it might not be that difficult to get.

CNA training online??
Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I have no intention of taking the classes online, I was more wondering how it could be possible that they even offer it

CNA training online??
Hi, Im new here so Im sorry in advance if this topic has already been discussed. What do you think about online cna programs? Seems fishy to me, I mean wouldn't you need to learn these skills in person? I was looking at 4yourcna.com just now...any thoughts? Has anyone done it?

Do you love being an LPN?
Im starting cna training this summer, hope to work as a cna for awhile before starting LPN school. I was recently talking about this with an lpn I know and she tried to talk me out of it. She told me she hates her job, that all the nurses she works with are "horrible to each other and to the patients" that the drs are awful to the nurses and most of her coworkers are looking to go into another field. (radiology for ex). She says that with the economy the way it is, tons of people are going into nursing thinking it has great job security, not because they really want to be nurses. My question is, do any of you find this to be the case where you work? I live in upstate NY Thanks for any input!

Juggling kids and work
Thank you for your comments. I have wanted to be a nurse ever since my first child was born. Since then I have had so many wonderful experiences with nurses; in hospital stays for both myself and my children at various times. I want to make a difference in peoples lives, be it at the end of it or in times of sickness. I have a few friends who are LPNs and didn't have any trouble finding a job after grad. I live in the Hudson Valley in NY

Juggling kids and work
Hi! Im new here. I am 37, have 3 young kids and am considering LPN school. My plan is to start as a CNA and then go for the lpn. I want to work as a cna 1st to see if nursing is right for me. My question is, how difficult will it be to juggle work & 3 kids? I cannot afford daycare so Id have to work nights at first I think. But how hard will that be? When will I sleep? I would love any input or personal experience. Thanks!
