Hey everyone!
I have a two year old son and I am pregnant again (due in December.) I have dreams to work as a nurse but having a toddler and pregnant money of course is tight. I am wondering which is a smarter move:
1. To go for my CNA in July, getting my certification in August. Save up money and pay bills between my two jobs and my fiances one job. Then start in an LVN program in January 2013.
2. Save money and pay bills from me and my fiances jobs and go straight for my LVN.
I am asking which do you all believe is a smarter financial move in the long run.
Thanks!
KRODD

No one can make the decision for you. But know this the LPN/LVN course is no joke, its a huge sacrifice. With a new baby a two other kids not to mention financial situations. Proceed with caution.

yes the lpn program is tough and u will have no life, but i have seen people do it with multiple kids and very young children and newborns, my class started with 30 and 13 failed out. this is no cake walk, this decison is yours only u know how u handle tough situations and lpn school is a tough situation, i just graduated at the top of my class but it was a year of sacrifice, to the point of not having gas money to get to school, but it is doable. if you do the lpn program u can get ur cna license after u complete the first semester, all u have to do is test out, and then u have to think about the job market which is poor, for new grad lpns and rns. so please make sure ur ready beacuse it can take u months to years to find a job
