Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I want to go to school for nursing, I just don't know what to start with, my school offers certified nursing assistant diplomas, and then a practical nursing, along with nursing a.s. I'm just really confused on where they all stand in the world. I odnt know which one to start with, or what to do. I don't know if I can go starting to practical nursing, or straight to nursing a.s. I'm just really confused on what to do, any help/suggestions?

If you have the time and the oney, I would go for your RN. It will save alot of bs later on. If you go for your LPN, and wait too long to go for your RN, some of your classes may not transfer, then you'd be starting all over again. If you don't have alot of time, and need to start making a decent wage right away, then LPN is the route to go. Depending on where you are located will depend on the jobs available once you graduate. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

some community college asn and lpn programs req you to be a cna first, you're gonna want to check the admissions requirements for the particular programs.
