Cna / hospital response

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hi people . Just coming across to share little bit about my first experience after giving all my papers to the HR at the local hospital.

apply for a job at a local hospital , where the minimum requirement is to have high school, and preferably to a license but is not mandatory . They sent me an email that I do not meet the minimum requirements. and I have other training in the field plus others certifications , but the deal is why did they get back to me saying that the wishes that one day I will find the right job for me. I feel that very sarcastically response.does not bother me that they have not accepted me . just do not understand because if there recive people even without certification without experience. you tell me ? I do not deny but I felt that this is just a dream I won't be able to make it.

getting a CNA hospital job can be fairly difficult sometimes. They want experianced CNAs or CNAs that are in nursing school.

There also are usually many people that apply for a single posting. I'd dare say there could possiblely be 100 or so apps for one single posting.

Your best bet is to get some experiance under your belt and work in other areas so that your resume can look better. Get 6months to a year working in a LTC or Rehab facility. Other areas might be Homes and Hospitals for VETS, Homes for the disabled, Hospice. Then apply and you might get a second look from those that have to look at those 100 apps to fill that one lonely position.

What other certifications do you have? Sometimes certain certifications won't do you any good if you don't have a CNA

Good Luck and don't give up. It just might not be the right time for you, but with a little patients and time you might get a coveted hospital job later.

Thank you what you say it's so true I must be patient . This is just the beginning thanks again
