CNA Clinicals Test question for appeals

Published

hi everyone I am new to this board.

I am hoping someone can help me. I took my skills test for the second time a over a week ago..well the first time i failed two skills and i knew i failed becasue i was not prepared the second time I was prepared but failed only one skill out of the five however i feel that i did everything right on that one skill. Could I appeal it and see what they say I did wrong. My job is on the line and there rarely are jobs where i live. I work in a doctors office and only want to work in a doctors office so I am not sure what options i can do...... I feel that I should have passed especially after reviewing the book and not knowing where did I fail.

any advice would be great thanks in advance

My guess is that your appeal must be to those who administered the test. For instance, was the test specific to your employer? Or was it a standardized competency exam given by another entity?

Whoever administered the test would be the authority to which you should seek appeal.

so would you say if i appeal i can appeal to the tester and they have the authority to change the results to a pass?

Truly, I have no way of knowing if an appeal is available. I just know that the only place to receive accurate information on how to appeal or if you can appeal would be the place where you were tested.

They didn't tell you what you did wrong, specifically? You can't just ask?

I called on Friday to find out and they said they did not have that information available to them so I guess what i will do is call the testing site and speak to the tester if they let me . My office manager wants to do that too and see if I can just redo that one part....... but i felt i did it all right so I guess I will see what happens
