CNA certified in LPN school

Published

Hey y'all I have a question I was wondering if y'all could answer. I'm starting LPN school in two weeks. The receptionist said after December I'll be ready to take my test to be a CNA. Is this something I could maybe do a month before? I'm really looking for a diff job and a CNA job would help out greatly.

Thanks!!

PA. The school coordinator said I would be ready to take my test after our first round of clinicals.
It varies depending on the facility. Here in the Philly burbs, hospitals pay much more roughly $12-16 an hour, probably more in the city. Nursing homes seem to be about $8-$12 an hour

I'd say the pay range for CNAs tends to hover between $10-$15 an hour, at least in MI. That's in LTC. At my facility I make $13.50 an hour. Some people have told me they were started out at as much as $15 an hour.
