Heyy, I recently got accepted to the accelerated program that starts this summer and I was wondering if anyone has heard of the program or is currently in it, and if anyone could give their advice! Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey Gigie, do you know when the health forms are due? I swear I double checked the forms a million times and don’t see the actual due date, just a lot about how it’s important not to miss the due date!

And anything from anyone about Ochem? Did you all take a full semester of straight ochem or just chemistry for nurses/the health professions?

Definitely before clinicals. And they advised us to start working on them like now. Their due dates will be on CastleBranch which you have to purchase. I personally took a full semester of biochem.

Thanks! Didn’t occur to me that the due dates would be on Castlebranch, I’m trying to get started now but was curious about the actual due date. And wow, you’ve got good chem prep. ?

I am taking Chem 250 (orgo) online right now at UMASS Amherst. It is pretty brutal but obviously required for me to join the program in the fall. It is only a 5 week course which is nice but very fast paced. Hopefully I come out with a B!!

Hello - make sure the school approves of your on line chemistry class and your grade must be in by August 22- good luck with it !

For those who graduated/are graduating, can you let us know the area most of your clinicals were in? Westchester/NYC/Bronx/Brooklyn???

Did anyone work part time while in school?

Hey kristencast, I just heard from the Grad Studies office that Chem 121 from Portage Learning is approved for the chem prerequisite. I've taken it and it's 1 million times easier than Ochem at UNE (it's meant for prenursing vs premed). If you're not on track to get a B in your current class it might be something to look into? I've done most of my prereqs through Portage and found that I could work through them very quickly.

No first hand experience but at orientation they said some people work part time. I'm planning on working one weekend day since I was already working weekends at my job and they said there are no clinicals or classes on weekends until POSSIBLY capstone (last 6 weeks).

Castlebranch for some reason thinks I’m a summer 2019 student. Did this happen for anyone else?

Yes, mine too but I contacted Tyrese. He said that the school had already requested the update. Once the tracker is created then we will be able to move.

Oh okay. Thank you!

You’re welcome ?

Does anyone happen to know the number to the financial aid office? I submitted the forms online a while ago but no one has responded =/

Financial Aid don’t receive calls, just email to which they barely answer. So, basically you just gotta go on campus.

I’ve emailed them almost a month ago still no answer.
