:angryfire this company should be investigated for unscrupless behavior and all employess should take out an class action suit against them. the things the do and the way they train their adminstrators is insane. this is not the american way, or maybe it is keep the honest working class down. what i saw and what was done to me is to long to put down here. all i do know don't make cms a career.

god has blessed me now i pass it on.

:nurse: I really liked the work and I would love to work with the sheriff's dept any time, even the staff was not bad. I was just the sneaky way the admin. let the LPN's do all the foot work the make it seem that we were not a vital part of the team when in essence we were the team. When the RN's couldn't draw blood or do screens or even change a bandaid,God forbid they would have to pass meds. Yes cut cost, not order meds keep inmates when they needed Hospital care are a high concern for me.

I was very blessed to have the experience It truely helped with my nursing diversity

God is all thing big and small

I worked for CMS in Missouri for 4 years, and we had a great staff and team. The administrator had hired too many RNs just before an audit so we could be compliant. After the audit they had to offer them another position somewhere else or lay them off and hire the needed LPNs. In my experience CMS would rather have LPNs so they save on salary. I liked my job there, but I did not agree with their way of running things. They did anything to save money. They would deny procedures and more expensive medications to save money. They pushed their doctors to see more inmates in a shorter time.I would not work for them again.

tweedy

i was an LPN for 23 years, just got my RN. My job is working with dr. and doing sick calls. when dr. off i draw all the bloods on that day. the LPNs pass meds and do drsg. changes. What i've noticed is things are just chaotic and unorganized regardless of CMS. I'm well aware of what might occur. I was just ready for a change and this too will go on the old resume. You should get your RN thru excelsior college. You study at home and take tests at sylvan learning center. Then i went for a weekend to syracuse to take my clinical. babycar.
