  1. Seems to me if you lost this new job or for other unforeseen problems you had to leave you would not go back to the first one. RUN!!!!!!!!
  2. Respctfully by last name, only the patient can say "call me ????"
  3. There is nothing and every thing I could say, having two teens and (1) 25year old I have had so many bad dreams of what could happen to them, why were they so distant and depressed mostly my daughter. I cried rivers of tears for the stress they go thru, it seems I never went through. Therapy and plenty of encouragement is the key. Let him always know how important life is here with him. Nothing is worth a life. God excluded. He is blessed to have you with him. Pray. I'm Send up mine for you and him.
  4. It is just so hard to comprehend that is not enough rooms to take care of that. Mary's mom you stay brave and very dilligent in watch over Mary. Most virurises can't live without a host. You have Microbiology on your side along with my Prayers
  5. You are precious. My prayers are also with you
  6. i recently lost my niece of 7 years. she drowned. after three days of life support. i realized that nicu is a very intense unit, yet the three days we ie: the family spent day and night with her. not once did any one come to us and prepare this very untimely death. on the eve of her dimise i came to the unit seeing and reconizing the end i was told i could not be there. not only was i angry but the tone was hard to swallow. still no-one for family to talk to. her mom was asleep in the next room i sat by her. she asked how is she i stated in the hands of god. she died 1hour later. still no one. her mom of course was devastated. i was the last to tell her auntie loves her we will meet again. i was outdone that not even a chaplin was called for the grieving. aren't hospital dealing with the whole patient and concerned about the family? are there no pallitive, or hospice resources? also so nurse training on empathy. 'you must go plays thru my mind every day. you will never hear this out of my mouth ever. auntie luvs u my little angel

  13. :imbar i am a nurse of 18 years i smoke, and have smoked for over 20 years. lets look at the situation, when taking care of an alcoholic do you have problems going out and having a drink after work, at home or at the bar, ect... i don't think so. it is our god given right to have a choice. what i choose effects myself. i as grown-up i made the choice to smoke as do others choose to drink and enjoy other things that are not healthy for us, the could be over eating, smoking, drinking, drugs ect... i take my breaks when i have time if i don't, i smoke when i get off. when are we going to stop being every-ones judge and jury? i have other things to worry about, whether someone is driving drunk while my childern are out at the mall catching the bus home! :imbar not all lung cancer is from smoking! we are all as nurses educated on a vast realm of things we still do what we do, and you know what i mean. we all have a vice maybe you have not figured out what it is, maybe it is spelling, so that is why we have dictionaries :) blessed are the pure in heart

  15. I have been saying this for many years. But as far as Corp. is concerned it is the aquity not the no. of patients to nurse. I feel so very bad for the CNA's who have to change, wash and get up so many patient's prior to the morning shift coming in, whom I might add are very well staffed to be able to care for 6 to 10 patients feed and change them. The whole system really needs revamping. I've worked nights for more than 12 years love the peace hate the low staff ratio God is the light
