Hello!

I'll be starting Peds clinicals at a local high school soon and was just wanting some input into what should

be expected from a nursing student in this type of setting. Is there anything that you especially dislike or like or would like nursing students to do or not during rotations? I'd like to be as prepared as possible and do not want to waste the school nurse's time.

Thanks!!

Stand up, follow the nurse unless told otherwise. Listen and observe, ask questions to learn. Learn where and when to take vital signs. Help triage when given the "go" with supervision. In others words, get your feet wet.
