clinical start tomorrow

well clinical start tomorrow. a little nervous but I'll make it. I have to spend the next 12 weeks every Saturday at a nursing home. Has anyone else gone to the nursing homes?

I finished my nursing home rotation last semester and I thought it was super boring ! All we did was pass pills all day

Your day will consist of helping your nurse with 1 or 2 med passes, nebulizer treatments, skin/body audits, family members with tons of questions, and patients that just want you to give them a little attention. They tell the best stories... It's what you make of it.

Placements are definitely what you make of them. Ask questions, offer to help people, talk to the residents. A placement may not be in an area that you are interested in but each one can be a learning experience. Try to keep an open mind.
