Where does CSCC have their clinical sites at? Does it change often or do they pretty much have them in the same place for each "Class"?
Well that is definately good to know!Have you looked into the program at COTC, Marion Technical or any other places? They both offer ADNs and would not be nearly as expensive as going for a BSN at Kent.
COTC requires you to be a state-tested nurse aide. I've taken NURC 101 and I've worked for multiple years in a nurse aide role (and beyond) but I'm no longer eligible to take the state test. They wouldn't waive the requirement so I'd have to retake NURC 101 to apply to COTC. Marion Tech has a pretty long waitlist from what I understand so it wouldn't be any quicker than going to CSCC.
KSU is definitely expensive, but I'd have my BSN in 15 months!! I'd be a nurse a lot sooner and I would avoid doing the RN-BSN program down the road. If I didn't have a great job here, I'd definitely go to KSU...
That's interesting. Good thing is regardless of what i decide to do as far as the actuall program itself, I will still be doing NURC 101 and 102 at CSCC. I wish all schools had the ability to offer classes in the evenings, as i would definately consider COTC, OU-C and the like.
Too bad I didnt make up my mind that this was what I wanted to do back in high school or this process would have been much easier and I would have been more flexible!
Best of luck to you on whatever you decide :)

I'm with you!! I actually made fun of my friends going into nursing after high school . I figured it out my senior year of college, but it was faster for me to graduate with a bachelor's degree, then look on going back to nursing school so I've been "waiting" I guess you could say since August of 2008.
The other benefit for me at KSU is that they do have an evening/weekend program and you do electives in ICU/ER which most ADN programs don't offer and most jobs in those areas are reserved for BSN grads and that's where I want to work. Ahh who knows... :)
Best of luck to you as well! I wish this process was a little faster - waiting is horrible once you finally figure out what it is you want to do!
