Have you surfed the internet? Typing in "clinical nursing research positions" may help. Also, NIH (Nat. Institutes of Health) may have a listing. Is there a medical school nearby--they may.

Yep type "clinical research nurse" in a job website (eg Monster) and see what pops up. If that doesn't bring up anything useful in your area, just try "clinical research" and see what pops up. It could bring up the names of facilities that are involved in clinical research. That may be a local major hospital (eg Cedars-Sinai Medical Center) or a specialized research hospital (eg City of Hope) or a separate company that focuses exclusively on clinical research (eg California Clinical Trials) (those are examples in the Los Angeles area). Then go directly to the websites of those facilities and see what you can find. Notice the phrasing used in the job descriptions and use that start new searches.

Any major metropolitan area should have clinical research going on there somewhere. If you're in a smaller city or an outlying area, opportunities might be much more limited.

Good luck!

Monster is still the best site but CenterWatch is a research specific website with job postings.

I would also look up "clinical research organizations" or CROs. These companies hire CRAs or clinical research associates. CRAs are many times RNs, but some may not be. Either way, this is a very lucrative field.

ICON and PPD, Inc are two examples of companies I know of.
