Clinical Pathways

Specialties CCU

Published

I am currently exploring clinical pathways for AMI in the CCU setting. Is it widely used overseas and what format do you all use? I have looked on the internet for information, but too broad and not what I am looking for, any information or help would be of great value.

hi there,

critical care pathways are indeed very new. however there are certain places that you can retrieve them from.

the best place is the national service framework site.

just go to http://www.hotbot.com and type in national service framework.

i believe that this is the way forward i.e standardising care, thereby minimising the inconsistancies in treatment.

please do not hesitate to contact me for further advice.

i work within a 12 bedded ccu in Dublin ireland

take care.

Dear Jane

Did you have much success????

We're looking for the same thing! We have a couple of samples from other hospitals that we could send. Do you have a fax number?

Ideally we'd like to see a few more before developing our own.

Best wishes!:p

Hi,

I work in a 10 bed CCU in Texas and we use pathways for AMI, we have specific pathways for 1)TPA; 2)TNK; 3)Lytic Eligible; 4)Retavase Combo. We also use pathways for Chest pain. If you are interested in any of these let me know and I will email them to you.

Blessings,
