Clinical Liaison

Specializes in Med-Surg Tele/ LTC/Acute Rehab.

I just got interviewed for Clinical Liaison postion at a SNF Facility. I was asked for annual salary requirments. What should I have asked for? This postion includes the whole marketing process of census admissions and MD relations. I couldnt find a good answer at any Salary web site. I asked for a salary that is considered the high side of the the U.S. National Average for an LVN in South Texas. (41K) Should Ive asked for more or does this figure sound right?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Any links to Marketing Nursing or Clinical Liaison forum would be great also.

I'm not sure if have you prior experience in this field, but I've been a CL for 3 years and it is truly a stressful position. I work in Long Term Acute Care (LTACH), and between marketing and paperwork, you're seeing patients and usually trying to reach a quarterly quota. Being the face of a facility can be tough also, especially if you have had negative outcomes for previously admitted patients.

I live/work on the east coast in a large city and am an LPN. I am in the mid 70's in terms of salary. I think an appropriate salary for this position is at least $50,000. Good luck:)

is there a possibility to make more than 50k a year? i'm looking into anther job but that would mean a huge pay cut. i've never been a liason before...would you say you like your job?

I started my position as a Clinical Liaison this year at 52k in the state of Alabama (a lower wage state than most).

I have discovered a niech and my salary has increased to 65k.

My research indiciates the average salary is 70k. Don't go for a lower salary because you are an LPN or an LVN. You are doing the exact same work as an RN and they are really hiring you for your sales skills more so than your clinical skills.

Hope this helps.
