What are the necessary elements to include on a resume when describing clinical experience? I've been told to only include the rotation, location, and time frame of the clinical, but I've also been told to additionally include a brief description of the job that you performed while in that clinical. I have been including a brief description for each clinical, but after 5 clinicals my resume is beginning to looked cluttered and I still have this year of clinicals to go.... Any tips? Thank you!!

When I was a new grad I just listed clinicals that were related to the job I was applying for such as tele, ICU, and CCU.

A typical professional resume should only be 2 pages long. NURSING IS DIFFERENT. Use as many pages as you need to adequately "sell yourself" to your future employer. The nurse manager I work for right now, when she applied, used 10 pages. Anything less and she would be unable to show how her work experience made her the perfect candidate for the job. I know of many others who's resume is between 4 and 6 pages in length. Include Clinical rotation, dates, brief description of your duties, and anythign else you feel is relevant to prove that you should have that job.
