Whether that is a "doable" commute is based on your individual tolerance level. When I was in nursing school I had to get up at 5 or 5:30 am sometimes based on when the clinical started and where it was.
You will need to develop good time management skills. Nursing school is hard. Plan out your days and block out time for studying and preparing clinical stuff throughout the week and on the weekends.
Good luck.

Hi guys!! I'm starting nursing school in the fall and I wanted to know how manageable is a 45-1 hr commute to the clinical site? The clinicals start at 7 AM and give or take traffic, I would have to get up at 5:30 AM and be out the door at 6 (And getting a place closer to the site is not really an option for me) I also heard that care plans/pre planning may take hours to do on the day before clinicals, so how can I to manage that and get enough sleep...
