Does a clinic experience increase your chance to find a hospital job in the future? Anybody has any idea?
Ok, I have done some research and read a lot of threads, and I figured I'll just love to be a clinic nurse. Especially, when my interviewer is so nice and sweet during my phone interview, she almost made me cry. I would like to work for a person so sweet rather than in a hospital setting. I was offered the job on the phone, but it won't become official until I passed the reference check and drug screen. I know I won't have problem with my drug screen because I do not even drink coffee, but I have no idea how strict is regarding the reference check up. I hope my friends won't scare out when the phone reach them because most of my friends are also Chinese and they are not really good at English. Anybody know about reference check? And does it effect me if my friends can not answer the question well in English?

Your references should not be your friends. They should be managers, coworkers, professors, or others who have known you in a professional or more formal setting. Other than that, you should be fine. I work in a clinic and love it too. Best wishes.
Thanks. Regarding reference part, they ask personal references not related to work, so I put my friends information instead.
