Does anyone know what clinical sites are used for the Maricopa Community College Nursing Program? Do all schools have the same site or will the site depend on the school you attend? I'm trying to figure out which schools to put on my list when I apply and a lot will depend on where clinicals take place. Any information you can provide will be appreciated =)

My advisor at EMCC, which is one campus for MCCCNP, told me that clinical sites tend to be located nearby to each campus site, which means it does vary by campus. Although I believe clinicals are often arranged on a space available basis, which means they could change from semester to semester, year to year, the advice I was given in terms of choosing programs is to pick the campuses I am willing to drive to, because the clinical sites were likely to be a similar distance. For example a campus on the west side, like EMCC, is not going to have clinicals on the east side.
I am still pre-nursing (just goto nthe database two days ago) so I can't report from personal experience, only what I was told. :)

The schools do not have preset clinical sites. They told us they have to "fight for slots" at the various hospitals each semester. I went to EMCC and our class had clinicals at Healthsouth, Glencroft, Arrowhead hospital, Banner Estrella, Banner Thunderbird, Del Webb, Hacienda, and St. Joe's. All of the schools do not use the same sites they basically have to take what they can get. Hope this helps!

I am at MCC and most of our clinical sites are in the East Valley. Block 3 uses Scottsdale Osborne and county as well. Those two are bit further away.
