I got accepted to Cleveland State University's ABSN program for January 2018, anyone else going there?

What is the interview like for CSU?

the interview was talking with someone who asks about 3 questions. I recall she asked me how I would handle stress as a nurse etc.

then after the call you have to type up your answers to two prompts they give you and email it in.

it wasn’t too bad.

The interview was not bad at all, it was pretty relaxed, we did a group interview. I graduated from the program almost two years ago though and the process may have changed.

I would try to stay ahead of all the assignments as much as possible. It is not crucial to have a job as a PCA/STNA before working as an RN but it is helpful. I would also, get ahead of the job hunt, start reaching out to area recruiters for the three major hospitals (when looking at jobs make sure you understand that the shifts).

When preparing for the NCLEX, try UWorld and possibly Buszta Review Course (if you prefer in-class learning).

Prepare as if it is a job interview. They want to see a candidate who is put together and demonstrates that they can handle the stress of the program and the time commitment especially. Draw from personal experiences when they ask questions. Good luck!

How did they contact you for the interview? I mailed my stuff in probably back in late March early April. When I emailed the ABSN advisor awhile ago she said they weren’t reviewing apps until June 15

Hey they emailed me last week asking for what times I would be available to do a zoom interview.
