Do agencies hire new grads?? I thought you had to work in a hospital for a year or two first... I don't know any agencies around, good luck finding one!

Working for an agency as a new grad is a mistake. You will be expected to hit the floor running and will not be given any support....you need to get a couple years experience in a steady job first.

Are you an LPN or an RN? As an LPN I worked in nursing homes for agency right out of school. It was a bit hard at first but I got used to it....as an RN I know I coud not do the same....there is alot to know and it would benefit you to work a year or 2 to get your nursing legs in a feild you like before you attempt to work agency, besides all agencies I know of require 1 year in your specialty....prefer step down unit or ICU,tele if possible. That is what I was told for cincinnati
