Anyone going to Cleveland for the annual AANA meeting August 5-9??
Jewelcutt, I totally agree. I'm still going, but totally wish it was someplace more "cool". i went to a conference in Arizona a few months ago and it rocked. I guess we can make our own fun but I still want to know fun places to go! My class kinda put me in charge of finding nightlife so tell me where to go people! There has to be something fun to do there.....

I'll be the negative poster since everyone else seems so excited about cleveland
This is my senior year and the place I get to go to where my whole class will be whooping it up is dumpy cleveland. Not bashing those of you from cleveland, but, I'm from detroit and I've been to cleveland and they both suck. Think, first of all that we could go anywhere with a beautiful beach, or at least somewhere where the hotels have pools? And when I mean pools, I mean ones that are outdoors with a bar closeby. I don't think there's much to do in cleveland, sure there's the warehouse district bars but that's about it. There may be a baseball game to go to.
The way I see it is that conferences are supposed to be in cool places with cool things to do (swimming, skiing, etc.). The hotels are expensive and nothing is in walking distance so get ready for a lot of expensive cab rides, since they don't have a transportation system. Our whole class is disappointed that we have to go to cleveland instead of someplace cool like last year (Washington D.C.). I know the whole reason they're having the conference there with the anniversary and all, but I just think it's lame. Again, not bashing people from cleveland, it's just not somewhere I'd like to vacation.
(Isn't this a cool smilie)
