Hi, I want to take the college algebra clep test but my scores need to be in to my school by November 7th. If you have has scores sent dor a non essay test, how long did it take you to get scores. I've looked at the Clep website so I know what the estimate is. I want to know if I take the test next week, realistically, do you think theybwould receive them on time. I'd be taking the test at SDSU most likely.

Yes. You will receive your score right away, before you see the score, you have the option of selecting the score which you'd like CLEP to transmit the scores to. So, by the time you walk out of the testing center, your scores should already be on its way, or soon after if CLEP needs to create an official score report. For me, I never selected a school and waited to submit a transcript request at a later date. Two weeks is more than enough time to send/receive CLEP scores.
What I did on one occasion, was to email a copy of the unofficial score report to my advisor, (the one that I received at the time of the test), along with an email that explained that the official transcript from CLEP had been requested and is on its way to the school. Sometimes, it's just a matter of the school retrieving the report once it has been sent by CLEP...similar to a letter sitting on desk that has not been opened.
Thank you so much, that was helpful!
