CLEP?

Has anyone here taken the CLEP exams for some of their pre-req's? At my school they allow up to 15 credits (so 3 classes) waived if you pass the CLEP for that subject. Are they harder, like AP level? Would anyone recommend it? I'm just looking for a cheaper, less time-consuming alternative (since I'm paying for school out of pocket - boo). I'm just curious, I'd like to try and bump my Biology out of the way this summer by just taking CLEP so I can take A&P this fall.

Thanks for your input! :)

Many people do this successfully. I've never done it because I prefer the extra chances you get in a classroom course. You only have one chance at the CLEP. In a classroom, you might have four exams, ten quizzes, and a final to try to squeeze out that grade.
