Just wanted to know of anyone's experience that have CLEP'd some courses and got accepted into the nursing program.
Knowing that you only get a Pass and no grade for it, how did they factor your pre-req GPA if you CLEP'd out of some courses?
Hope I'm making sense, lol.

It is not factored into your GPA at all.

What Miiki said. I took them, and they aren't factored into your GPA. But the fact that I did CLEP exams was found to be impressive by the Dean of Nursing.
I know. What I'm asking is do the nursing program just look at the GPA of the courses you didn't CLEP out of but still see you as completing pre-reps with CLEP.
That's what I was trying to get at lol how many courses did you CLEP out of?
Exactly.
They see it as completed prereqs. But only classes that have grades are computed into your GPA.
CLEP credits won't erase grades from classes you've already taken. And usually you're not eligible to get credit by examination of you've already taken the class.
I took 3 CLEPS. With those coupled with my high GPA, they loved it. They look at it all, your GPA of your other courses, as well as the courses you CLEP.
Thanks everyone. I'm looking into CLEP'ing out of Intro to Psychology and Intro to Sociology, possibly Humanities. Want to be able to focus studying more on A & P I-II when it comes time to take those courses.

That's funny, because my community college counts any CLEP classes as an automatic C when they calculate your GPA for pre-reqs. I guess they just want you to actually take the class?
I think your school is more of an exception.
I do know of at least one school who gives grades depending on the score you make on the CLEP.
My CC doesn't give CLEP letter grades and I've checked into other CC/Universities I may transfer to in FL and they don't give letter grades either. But will definitely call the schools to double check.
