I was trying to find a Spring 2020 forum for CSU but did not see one so I'm starting one to see if anyone would like to share any updates on their admissions status or insight on their stats (GPA overall/science, KNAT score, etc.), other schools you've applied to, and/or any advice in general. This is my 2nd time applying to their program as I didn't meet their min. GPA requirement the last time. Thanks in advance! ?
My major hasn't changed yet, but the admission letter stated that it should change after they receive your offer acceptance. In regards to living on campus, I don't live on campus, but I have been in a campus apartment before (the ones by the health center) and they are pretty decent. Each BR had its own BA & a shared kitchen/living room. I live in off-campus apartments instead.
Hi, just a quick FYI in case anyone needs CPR certification, the course is available at CSU Health Center on 11/14, 11/22, and 11/27. You can also get titers drawn or your vaccinations there on the same day. As far as the student handbook, it's supposed to be available for download on the CSU Nursing webpage.
@crystal8819 It's different for everyone, but personally, I think the most challenging part about the KNAT was the reading, then the science. Math was a breeze. I prepped by reviewing A&P outlines about a week prior to the exam. I wouldn't bother with the nursing school entrance exam practice books. I had both Kaplan and McGraw Hill and those books did not help me one bit.
