Hey all,
I am planning to begin my RN prerequisites and want to jumP in and start with my junior college’s early Summer session which is 4 weeks and starts in May. The second would be either 6-8 Weeks. I want to get a class or three out of the way (I don’t know what the rules are as to how many I can take during the longer Summer term). In a perfect world I thought I could take two over the Summer and three for fall semester and three for the Spring semester but that might be delusional? I figure the only way I could do that is to take a science class for each Summer term so that I can take the last two for the two regular semesters. Am I crazy to even think this is possible? I welcome any and all advice as far as where to begin, what classes I can feasibly knock out during Summer and what order/combination I should plan to take everything! Obviously I want to get these done ASAP but I don’t want to set myself up for failure, either. If it helps, these are the prerequisites my program requires (see attachment).
Thank you!!

Hey ,
If I were you for the Summer I'd take the the psychology and communication/speech first and if you can handle a third possibly the composition (but from experience and stories of others it's best taken by itself). Also too I went to class with a girl and she had told me about the 4 - week anatomy class it was grueling ( half of the class left before midterms and she said you went through 4 chapters during lecture)and from my experience (I took 8 weeks) , it was definitely grueling but doable . I took AP2 and College Algebra during the Summer and got an passing grades , the thing is I sacrificed my Summer because I prepared during our 5-week Summer break for the AP2 Class. Anatomy GMC and WyzSci are great for preparing!
Looking at the picture I see that they don't do the multiple attempt thing like at my CC so I'd def take your pre-reqs - sciences and maths one by one if possible. Looking back at my pre-reqs I'd say don't rush the sciences.

I would consider taking math first. I took 2 4-week math classes last Summer and they were very difficult for me, but they really set me up to handle Chemistry and now statistics. Those subjects would have been more challenging if I had not taken some basic algebra. Do the science classes listed (anatomy, physiology, and micro) have pre-requisites? At my school we have to take Intro to Chemistry and a basic Biology class before we can take those sciences. I would definitely take an 8 week bio or chem this Summer to get you set up for the other sciences later.
