Hi,
I am a California resident considering moving to Portland. Does anyone have feedback on Clark College's program in Vancouver, such as program quality, NCLEX pass rates, etc? Any information would be appreciated. Also, how does it compare to OHSU if anyone knows.
Thanks!

According to their website, they have 100% pass rate.

I have heard it's far less than 100% and is too easy. I know of a few nurses who couldn't handle other programs but graduated from there. If you ask me, as long as the program is accredited and you finish with an associate's and a RN license the rest you can learn on the job if they haven't taught you already.

I would suspect the nurses he refers to benefited from the strong commitment Clark instructors have to their students. It is a tough program with EXCELLET instructors who enjoy teaching and students.
Clark is a very intensive program with a very high NCLEX pass rate...their grads were #1 in the State for Community Colleges for several years running (I haven't checked for a while). The school also has the benefit of clinical site contracts with Portland area hospitals, they are able to provide a much varied clinical experience at some really good hospitals.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's easy!! As a current student of the program, I'd say it's pretty darn intense! I've had instructors tell me it really is insane the amount of material we cover in the amount of time compared to other nursing programs they have taught at. I still highly recommend this program! Theres a reason why Clark has such a great reputation! Wonderful staff...and a state of the art nursing lab are just a couple of the +'s
