Additionally, there is a group invite for accepted students to join a study group.

Hello! I'm a pre-nursing student hoping to start in the UTHealth Cizik Pacesetter program for Fall 2025. I'm starting this thread to connect with other pre-nursing students aiming for the program, as well as current students who might be able to answer our questions. If you're comfortable, please feel free to share your stats, questions, comments, or any concerns. We're all in this together, and hopefully, we'll be celebrating our acceptance together!

Whats your schedule been like so far this semster, Also what were your stats for acceptance, and was this your first time applying, if not what was the reason they rejected you the first time?

Pharm Monday 1-4, Health assesment Tuesday 8-10 and my lab is from 1:15-3:30, Adult health care Wednesday from 9-12 and patho right after from 1-4. Thursdays so far have only been for Adult health care lecture (again) only when needed. And Fridays are adult health care lab and I have mine from 9-12. As far as stats goes mine were fairly standard for what the school typically accepts. And I've applied twice!

How many weeks in was your first exam for each class? When do clinicals start? How does scheduling work with labs and clinicals?

So within the first 3 weeks I've already taken all my first exams for all of my classes the dosage calculation exam is the first one which is the second week of classes for adult care (you NEED to get a 100 on it, you have 3 attempts). I had health assessment and patho in the same week and the following week I had pharm and adult care. For clinicals I start mine the first week of next month but the Summer semester is shorter so IDK when it'll start in the fall. Once clinicals start the only lab you'll have is heath assessment, clinicals will replace the adult care lab once it starts. The days are random when it's assigned so you'll have rather a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday clinical. Sorry Ik that's a lot

Hi everyone! I'm a current J1 at Cizik and thought I'd pop in here if you guys have any questions!

Hey, I was wondering is Cizik nursing 15 consecutive months. Like if I start January 2026, does that mean I am done/graduate March 2027?

Yes, 15 months straight!

Hey everyone, I was given conditional acceptance for fall 2025 and all I need is to finish my human growth and development class which I'm currently taking and won't end until 8/7, does anyone knows if I have to finish it by the time the classes start or if I have to finish it before registration starts? Anyone with similar  experience?

Hello, I just found your post. Is this program hybrid of totally in class. What is the difficulty of this program? I will be starting in January 2026 and I am extremely nervous about nursing school. Also I am trying to send you a private message here but it won't let me. Do you have an email I can use to reach out to you?

I submitted my application and logged into my portal. I took my HESI a couple of months ago and it was automatically sent to them but it is still on my to-do list. It shows up as initiated. Is this normal? How do we confirm if it has been received?

Hi! Congrats on getting in to UTHealth's ABSN (I was in last years' cohort).

Hello, How else can I contact you? I want to ask you questions about this program. For some reason I am unable to send PMs.
