City Tech Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has sent in their applications to get into the nursing program for fall semester 2021?
I just sent mine in and I can’t wait until June!

Im not sure what the cutoff is but the higher the GPA the better the chance regards on the TEAS score. They sent out acceptances 2 weeks before the semester started so expect in August.

regardless*

Wish everyone good luck! like previously said it also depends on the applicants as well, they go from the highest GPA and go down from there.  Every year it changes.  The less competitive the better the chance to get in.

Hey guys, I'm already in the program. If you have any questions, I'm glad to help.

Ah OK I understand. Is it OK to ask what were your pre reqs GPA and TEAS score? It is based of pre-reqs GPA right?

I mean that’s how long it took for the Spring I guess it’s different then. They did send ours 2 weeks before the semester started.

The nursing program is so unorganized LOL but we are just wrapping up now and it feels good.

Pre reqs: Psy: A, A and P: A-, English:

B, math:  A

TEAS: 65. But like I said it depends on the applicant pool. The cut off varies

Yes it’s based off pre reqs GPA only.

They said that last semester was the most competitive group of applicants. Just an fyi

Congrats on finishing off your semester!

I’m waiting on my grade in A&P but I’m expecting an A so I should have about the same pre reqs GPA as you! Which gives me hope. Thank you so much

Thank you! Yeah you’ll get in for sure. Good luck!

Congrats on finishing the first semester.

2 weeks before the semester started WOW. Since it was on such sort notice, when did you have to present the proof of CPR certification, the physical exam, drug screening and background check?

Did you started having classes first then received the schedule for on-site clinicals?

I want to know the timeline so I can be prepared

Thank you. I wish you good luck and success. The physical exam, drug screening and background check forms are given with the acceptance letter and they give you enough time to get those done. We didn’t go to clinicals  so they weren’t really mandatory. The CPR certificate as well but we did get a free training provided by the program. Most likely there won’t be on site clinical for first semester students.

Oh I didn’t know if their would be on site clinical for first semester students. Even if they are vaccinated or that doesn’t matter?

Also, what was your first semester schedule like? I signed up for Microbiology this Summer to get it out of the way quickly but IDK if I should.
