Hi,
Has anyone applied to City of Hopes New Grad program for the February 2013 cohort? The application is due today, and I can't seem to find the app online. Anyone care to direct me to the right place?
I got rejected through an email from the nurse recruiter stating I was an excellent candidate but they found others that better fit the organization. I did not get invited to the breakfast. I was so confused and emotional because I was wondering if I am an excellent candidiate why was I not chosen. Are they looking for SUPER excellent? lol :)I graduated Dec 2011 as well and I have not had any luck getting a job. I am not understanding what is the deal with this. I have so many rejection emails in my history. Since graduation, I enrolled in a RN-BSN program I am graduating June 6 and hoping someone notices my hardwork and dedication in this field.
Jasmine... I know the feeling! Trust me! I have sent out so many applications and 100 % got rejected.. Anyways-- why dont you try some other places such as LTC?? That's where I started my nursing career and still employed (then at the same time I am applying at several hospitals here in San Diego).. Maybe hospital jobs are not for us yet.. Don't wait til u become an old new grad.. I graduated Dec 2010-- working at LTC and making $34/hr.. Now-- although it is not an acute experience-- I am confident with my nursing skills and i can practice it and not being forgotten! Think about it! They dont usually require experience :)
Do you mean application status? Mine hasn't changed, what did your's change to/from?
Also, is there anyone who has been interviewed at or after the breakfast who has been rejected? I had an interview but haven't heard anything one way or another and I'm wondering if they made some offers and are going to extend more offers if any of the candidates turn them down. Thoughts?

Yeah I mean application status. And it stayed the same "on file, in process." What floor did you interview with? I was told we wouldn't hear anything until next Friday about offers, because they are still interviewing people.
