I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what version of the hesi they had. The version is listed on the top of the printout that we received when we finished the exam. I am trying to determine if all of the schools took the same version. Thanks

mine says E S-07 V-4 Retest 3
What school do you go to?
Truman, you? Did you fail the exam? I did.
So you guys had a retest too. I go to Malcolm X. I thought it was just our class who had the retest. I failed it too. I was really close though. How many chances do you guys have to take the hesi? I heard from some of my classmates that some of the students at your school were allowed to take the nclex even if they didn't pass hesi.
I'm sorry you didn't pass--it really sucks. We have one more chance to take the HESI in July. If we fail, we have to repeat our 2nd year of school and we are being told there are no opeinings in the Fall. No, they are not signing our ED-Nur if we didnt' pass HESI (I wish lol). I am waiting for a letter from the district office to tell us dates for the Kaplan review and a HESI try two in July (my chairperson said 2 weeks). Have you heard anything else? I have been scrambling for a plan to study and pass the past week. What is your plan of attack?
I think I am just going to do a bunch more questions from the saunders book and read the hesi hints. I also think I need to focus more on test taking strategies. I got an 827 so it's not like I don't know any of the material.
Sounds like a good plan. Our scores are very close (830). There were quite a few questions I had no idea how to answer, so I felt it was partially a content problem. I bought Saunders Comprehensive Review and I am doing practice questions daily.
What is your chairperson saying as far as when do we get to retest? Ours is saying sometime in July with no date yet.

hey guys! first time posting here, I also took the HESI test on march 26, 2007 @ triton college. We had the test in the middle of the semester, luckily i pass with 965 but i miss about 45 question. just do a lot of Q & A, i think that's the only thing you could do to study for the HESI. But if you Fail the hesi, you could take a martin review class offered in chicago. I'm taking it right now to prepare for the NCLEX, they have a HESI review with the nclex review the whole package. 8 people i know from last year fail the hesi and took the martin review in the summer and they all pass. check out www.martinreview.com Good luck to everyone taking the hesi in july.
Thanks for the tip. I looked into the Martin Reveiw but it was already booked. I'm doing practice questions and the Kaplan review next Monday. Good luck on your NCLEX exam! You will do fine.

the hesi is an exam that is used as a predictor for the nclex. if you attend truman you will definately have to take it. i took the test in may and did not pass. it is a very hard test and from what i have heard, very different than the nclex. i don't know if truman has explained how they administer the test but you should know that if you don't pass on the second time you have to take your entire second year of school over. after that you have two more chances and if you still don't pass you are out of luck. out of 16 people in my class who took the test, only 5 passed. buy the saunders nclex review book and study from that. good luck
