City College of San Francisco Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I applied for the spring 2020, just wanted to start a discussion to see who else applied. Curious to know the points you got when calculating and just support eachother through this process. To my calculations I scored about 38 points before the TEAS. Not sure if I used the correct points though. Good luck, everyone!

They are still reviewing applications. She said we probably wont get a letter till November. ?

Bummer, Waiting’s the worst! Did they Mention why...Maybe more applicants this year compared to the last??

She said it says 8-10 weeks after the closing of the application.

Yeah I am pretty confused because they said they would notify applicants of conditional acceptance 8-10 weeks after the application closed but I'm not sure how they will do that without receiving the TEAs scores first or how people would know if they should take the TEAs

Sorry we are all playing the waiting game! I wish everyone the best of luck!

Wait, so how may of u did not submit a TEAS score? It was a huge portion of the points.. I personally recommend you take the test ASAP if u haven’t done so..

You will get a conditional acceptance letter even if you are going to be on their standby list. It will basically let you know that your acceptance is based upon your TEAS score. There will be a form in the acceptance letter that has several different days that they are doing the TEAS exam at the school, in which you will need to sign the form acknowledging and accepting the date they have scheduled for you to take the TEAS. If for some reason you do not pass, then they will email you around December if they get to your number they will offer you a one year remediation course that you will have to complete that and retake the TEAS exactly one year after the failed TEAS and if you pass you are automatically placed into that following program for either that spring or fall. So you don't need to take the TEAS. They offer it free to those who get the letter. I hope this info helped a little...... How I know all this was because I was one of those that got a letter (my first time applying) and because I missed the cut off score by .3 (long horrible story) I received a email that I honestly never seen because I didn't know they would email me, since all other communication was through regular mail.....well on that email she offered me a 1 year remediation and a spot in the program as long as I passed my TEAS. There was a time frame that I had to respond to her email by and a week after that date, I decided to one day check my school email and there it was...... I was devastated! it was past the date and too late. Well since then I've retaken and passed my TEAS, but I can't use that score for this time around, I can only hope to get picked again and this time look out for any emails from them.

You're welcome. Thank you so much. I know getting into a RN program can be very stressful, especially when it comes each schools requirements and unanswered questions we all have. Wishing you all luck!
