Hello Everyone,
Who else is applying to the Citrus nursing program this coming term? If so, do you guys know what is the usual points for acceptance? Thank you !
Well, first everyone has to respond by 5/10 so maybe at some point after that. Students have to pass background and TEAS. And still decide to move forward. sucks but it can really be anytime now -July.
I was a citrus alternate for lvn and found out over a month later that there was an open slot. I had 24 hrs to respond
If you’re an alternate, it doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the program. That’s only if someone declines their position that is actually accepted in the program. They just have you take the TEAS test just in case even if you’re an alternate and they won’t tell you what number you are. I was an alternate last year and passed my TEAS but didn’t get in.

Hello, I am trying to get a jumpstart everything by purchasing the textbooks (I was an alternate last year so I received the orientation packet which lists the textbooks required..) I was wondering for textbooks do they ask for the specific edition that is listed or the newest edition?
I recommend waiting to buy textbooks until after orientation, NCLEX is changing to nextgen after this year so many text book companies are making new editions to align with this change. You will still have plenty of time to purchase text books following orientation so just hold off for now! I will see everyone at orientation and can discuss possibly handing down some textbooks as well if the editions don't change.
Also, one more thing that was not mentioned during our orientation two years ago was that we needed to buy the medsurg book. It was under the suggested books to buy but was not mandatory - however you will all be using the medsurg book throughout the program for medsurg 1,2,3,4(critical care). So definitely buy this book rather than renting it.

Hello all! does anyone here know when Alternates can typically get notified that they’re accepted, after passing the TEAS? Thank you
