Citrus College LVN and NURS 100

Hey so this is for anyone at Citrus college in the LVN program,

I have a question for all those who took NURS 100 recently, I am planning to take it this upcoming spring (I am doing NURS 101 [CNA] right now) and I was wondering if anyone has ANY tips on what is NURS 100 about? I heard they cut the entrance into the LVN program from 40-35 students now and it would just suck to try your hardest in that class get like a 96% and STILL NOT GET IN.

I am only taking this route (LVN-RN-BSN) because my chances of getting into any CA NS are out the window on account of bad grades sooo this is my only option.

So any tips on how to pass NURS 100, who to take...and for god's sake what its about!!!?!!

I know its about dosage calculation, medical terminology and some A&P but how much depth does it go into?

Sorry I just want to be a nurse so bad and its becoming rather difficult for us that really want it but cant because of the economy and other things

Sorry if this post is a)repetitive b)annoying

I am just one of this people who is tired of waiting to be a nurse and would like a head start!

Thanks everyone!

Hi, I know this is an old post but I was wondering if you ended up taking the NURS 100 and how was it? I am currently enrolled and the class starts next week. I am pretty nervous about it and I'm not sure what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

Hi how was the class? We’re you accepted into the program?

Hi, I am sooo sorry, I'm not even sure how I missed your message. The class was pretty intense. I ended up dropping out of the course. I'm still taking my prerequisites and I applied to the LVN program at Rio Hondo for Spring 2021.
