Hi everyone, I applied for the Advanced placement for Fall 2019. Has anyone heard back yet?

Did you send a self stamped envelope with your application?

yeah. the email addresses it saying they were sent out and more info will be in them. this is the email if you’re curious:

“Dear ADN Applicant,

This is a reminder that your response of acceptance or decline for your position as alternate to the Citrus College ADN Program is due on May 1st by noon. A letter was mailed out to you with complete information. Please send your response to [email protected]

Please also indicate if you will need to take the TEAS exam with us, or if you will be sending your scores electronically. In addition, you must provide evidence of a valid social security number and photo ID to the Health Sciences Office in the Professional Center (PC) building at Citrus College. The deadline date for accepting or declining Fall 2019 admission and providing evidence of documents is May 1, 2019 by 12:00 p.m. If you do not respond with an intention to accept this offer, your place will be offered to the next student on the alternate list.”

they never tell you. my friend who was an alternate last year said they never said how many alternates but 3-4 got into the program. Sucks they don’t really let you know where you are on that list it’s like waiting all over again. So we can get in if people decline their spot, can’t pay the fees on time, or of those that have yet to take the TEAS and were offered a spot happen to not get a passing score. it happens pretty often i know in my lvn program 2 people backed out because they went to orientation and didn’t realize how hard it was/how time consuming it is. fingers crossed!

Thank you! But gosh i wish to know what # alt am I. I hope it states it on the mailed letter.

I sent it in via email. I mailed the self addressed envelope ?? I’m so nervous

i asked in the email i sent and she just replied saying she can’t disclose how many people. hopefully they just don’t throw a bunch of people on the wait list ?

i believe it said you had to personally hand in the letter to the nursing office. i dropped my app off in person because i didn’t want to risk getting my email sent to spam or getting lost within a bunch of other emails they were getting.

It might be and really hoping it is! Just heard back from my buddy who got accepted and I thought he did the generic. He did the Advanced (LVN) application, I guess he had his LVN a few semesters ago. So wondering if anyone from Generic Application has received any notification? I've only heard and read of LVN confirmations so far. Keeping everyone in prayer and hope everything works out!

Aw damn. I hope that’s not the case. But anyway they don’t need an envelope to email me ? I’m getting deflated lol

Thank you for the info!! I feel better knowing that. But still nervous I’m at work refreshing this dang email every 2 minutes I can’t even concentrate

Yeah, I hear you. I've been at work since yesterday morning. I get off shift tomorrow morning so this is my best update till then. Like my buddy said since they'll be thrown into the 2nd year program during summer or so that is probably why they needed to notify them first. Hopefully we'll get something by the end of this week.

Hello everybody!

I received an acceptance email today! It is time-stamped at 09:26. I calculated 85 points on my own.

My stats: Bachelor’s in psychology, 3.5 sciences GPA, 3.6 cumulative GPA, CNA in a hospital, second language, A in English, and need to work.

I still need to take the TEAS!
