I appreciate your reply itzvalerie!! Even if they are reducing benefits and everything, it would still be far better than the no benefits and no pay I get now being unemployed. Also, the experience I would get working there is more what I'm concerned with, rather than pay, benefits, etc. I'll look at other hospitals as well. Thank you!
That makes me sad to hear of spohns reputation. I worked in their nursery when I first got out of school many many moons ago. There were still nuns in the hospital we used to wrap our babies in giant stocking the volunteers made for discharge the whole month of December. I have many fond memories of my time there

I'm a new graduate currently living in Colorado and have been applying to Christus Spohn (among other places) in Corpus Christi, as I hear they are new grad friendly. But, I've never heard back from them about any of my applications. Could this be because I'm out of state? My license is from a compact state, so I would hope that would help a little. I'm fully committed to moving wherever it is I'm able to find a job.
Also, I hear about people contacting HR, but how do you even find phone numbers or email addresses for recruiters? I haven't had any luck with that on hospital websites, and I also worry that calling/emailing them could be seen as annoying and would just hurt my chances.
Anybody have any experiences as an out of state new grad with Christus Spohn?
