CHOP Nurse Residency 2025

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for anyone that has applied for the 2025 nurse residency at CHOP. I had my phone screen today and curious to hear how others' experience has been so far in the hiring process!

Hey , I am a current cursing student that graduates December 2025 (I know a long time from now but I like to plan). I was curious, are you guys applying to their program while in school or do they want you to be graduated by time they have an interview. My logic is I can look to apply in December and hopefully start in the march/Spring cohort

My interview/shadow experience went well. One of the best interviews I've had honestly. I'm sure you landed the position. Don't be afraid to send a follow-up email to the recruiter if you don't hear back within a couple days.

I'm here now waiting for my interview! How long did it take to hear back?

You got this! And I emailed the recruiter a thank you letter two days later and asked for an update. She called me 30 minutes later and offered me the position.

I graduate May 2025 and have been looking to see when the residency for that class will be posted. Anyone know? And anyone that can provide some helpful tips for the phone screening and interview process would be greatly appreciated:) I am hoping to get a job in the NICU.

Hi, I have my interview and shadow day soon. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice. I am really nervous and want this job badly I just want to be prepared.

Is it normal that no application has been posted for May grads yet??

I have no clue I'm still waiting, the app for April grads opened mid March so maybe their waiting!

Hi, they don't do a residency cohort for every graduate class. They do it randomly based off units that need help. I hit got hired and they ended the search for new grads. I would advise you to turn on notifications for when the next cohort happens because it closes within days.
