Hello everyone, so applications for CHOC opened recently and i wanted to start this so that we could keep each other updated! i just applied for PICU! good luck to you all :) :) :)

Don't give up hope! It's not over until its over and I heard they are hiring 8 people for PICU. I also heard that they had a lot of technical difficulties with their on demand interviews which are really slowing the process. Hang in there and try not to get discouraged!

Regarding NICU...personally still heard nothing. Not even a rejection email. Wah. And to everyone getting interviews and keeping the rest of us up to date, congrats and thank you!

I got an interview for CVICU! I mentioned PICU because a nurse on the unit told me they were hiring 8 people. She also said CVICU is hiring 2 and NICU Orange is hiring 10! Thank you I hope you hear back soon too!

More congratulations to those receiving interviews! Still no word here one way or the other about NICU @ Mission Fellowship. I'll be sure to update if I do!

Also... some candidates (including myself) received emails from HR saying that they will be contacted by the end of the month about the status of their candidacy....do not worry if you did not receive one! HR said they are emailing it as a default response to anyone who emailed them about the residency/fellowship program! So not getting one does not mean that you are out of the running :)

Just had my interview with CVICU. They didn't ask any situational questions because they said that I would learn that in the program. They asked all the basic behavioral questions and it was super easy. The panel were very sweet and I actually enjoyed the interview! They are finishing up interviews for this unit today and we will find out if we got it next week.

They also said to not feel discouraged if you don't get it. They had 800+ applicants for a total of 32 open positions so it was competitive. Making it to the online interview portion or an in person portion is an accomplishment in itself!
