Hi everyone starting this chain for CHOC applications. I know they said applications are normally out this week, anyone know the exact day?

I haven't heard of any externals being contacted for NICU yet, only internals. NICU had over 300 applicants so I'm hoping they'll reach out next week but IDK.

oh! do you know an internal that was contacted for the NICU? yeah, I haven't seen any externals yet but if internals were selected already, then I assume they're done and should reject my app already 💀

Officially got my rejection email. I knew people on heme/onc and had a great connections. I'm not sure what gets an interview this day. I have my BSN and already pass NCLEX and capstone in pediatric heme/onc. Goodluck everyone who got an interview!

I applied for NICU -- had my preceptorship in NICU, all the certifications (NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS, Adv fetal heart monitoring), rec letters were solid, & a BSN, RN. So this cycle must've been all the internals or something bc trying to get into a residency in SoCal is getting ridiculous at this point l ol

I'm sorry to hear you received your rejection email, I agree I think there is a lot of internal candidates and that definitely played a factor. I also received a rejection email this morning. This is like my 11th rejection letter from an RN residency here in SoCal it is definitely frustrating trying to find a job 😭 can I ask where you got your advanced fetal monitoring?

Hey! yeah, I'm probably around the same amount of rejections as you tbh. Just got to keep applying!! You do any FHM through AWHONN -- although, I kindaaa don't rec it bc you have to go in order so beginning, intermediate & then adv. This totaled out to $620! you pay for the course and then you have to pay a separate for the instructor. Good luck with everything 🙂

Hi does anyone remember what they said the starting pay would be?
