CHOC New Grad Residency Feb 2024

Did anyone apply? I saw it was open last week.

Hi! I applied for the hematology/oncology department!

Hi! I applied for NICU.

Hi! I applied for the hematology/oncology unit. Has anyone heard back yet? I read that if you don't hear back by the 30th for an interview, then you didn't get in.

Hello! I applied for NICU. Has anyone gotten any information regarding interviews? Also is it true the pay is $35/hr? For the Orange County area that seems extremely low!

I applied for NICU too. Haven't heard back yet but I asked around and heard that yes you start at $35 but you get bumped to $42 after the residency period (I think that's 21 weeks for NICU?) then you can get a night shift differential of around $7. My numbers are ballpark based on someone that was hired in 2022!

Did your application also say you'd hear back by the 30th if you got an interview?

Yes

Which NICU did you all apply for? Mission or Main hospital/Orange?

I only saw one general, NICU application, and I applied to that. Was it separated between the campuses?

I did Orange cause I assumed there would be more openings at that one! 90 beds vs 20

Does anyone know if we can interview via zoom? Or do we have to do it in person? I'm not local, so I'm trying to figure out in advance if I'm asked for an interview what I would do
