U.S.A. Georgia

Published

hey guys! I wanted to start this thread to keep up with CHOAs hiring process for their residency program starting in March. I know we just applied October 1st, but I am already anxious! Looking forward to hearing from everyone and staying connected! Wishing everyone luck!!:)

No I will graduate from Kennesaw in December

I did ED, med/surg, and transplant. I'm also external so whatever. I just wish I knew something that was happening with my application.

Have you checked the status?

Ya, it still just says application received

I inadvertently typed Georgia College of Nursing...I just meant to type a college/university in the state of Georgia. Maybe they are interviewing individuals in state first...and out of state later??? I don't know.

Application received still hmmm

Application received still hmmm

For you too?

I had a face to face interview yesterday and it was brutal! Literally about 20 situational questions...

nurslet1305 I am graduating in December also. I was just wondering what unit you interviewed for at CHOA? I had a digital interview the other day. I was also wondering if you had one of those and if you did how long it was before they contacted you for an interview. Thank you so much for your help, I know you feel my anxiety!

Yes I totally feel your anxiety! So I did my digital interview October 15 and they called me November 4th for the face to face! So be patient! It is a SLOW process! But I think well worth the wait if we get a job! And I interviewed at Scottish Rite Emergency Room!

Thanks nurslet, I got a call for an interview! I have heard that most of their questions are behavioral based so I am preparing for those. You said there were a lot of questions, were there any that caught you off guard? How long did the interview approximately last? Have you heard anything back since your interview?

They asked me around 20 questions! And interviewed me for 2 and a half hours! But I have had other friends that had interviews that was nothing like mine from other departments so I think it depends on where you are interviewing! Where are you interviewing?
