Hello all,

I'd like to start a new CHOA thread for May 2025 residency.  I just applied today.  I thought it opened up in Jan 2025.

Thank you for providing your timeline! I hope your in-person interview goes well! If you don't mind me asking, what were your areas of interest? 🤨

The recruiter who contacted me suggested a specific unit and location based on my background. I don't even think she was listening to what I said about my area of interest. It's like she already had decided where she thought I would fit. But I told them I was interested in NICU, ED, and Hematology. I didn't interview for either of those.

The interview went well. They asked a ton of behavioral questions, about 10, I think. I just remember it being so many that I was running out of stories and began just making up situations. The few I could remember were.

Tell me a time you had a conflict or disagreed with a coworker.

Tell me a time you recognized a patient's condition deteriorating.

Tell me a time you went above and beyond for a client/patient.

Anyway, they said I should know something in a few weeks. What stood out from that conversation is that she said she had two more interviews before making a decision. So, in my mind, I thought it sounded like she only had one available position. What also stood out to me was that their Residency program doesn't seem like it's going to be as structured as some of the other hospitals. Despite that, I am still hoping for an offer.

Thank you for your feedback.  If it is meant for you, so shall it be!  Congratulations either way!
