Hello, everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had applied for the Children's Medical Center Dallas February 2016 residency? I found threads for the previous cohorts, but none for this one. I had an interview a couple of weeks ago, and haven't heard anything back yet (good or bad). I'm starting to go crazy lol! So I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat, or accepted a position, or heard anything at all.

Hello!

I would recommend getting on the careers portion of the website and setting up notifications for when they post the residency position. That's what I did!

The application process was fairly easy. For the interview process, I did a video interview and then an on site interview with a unit manager. Some people interviewed with more than one unit.

One the application opens, you will be able to see more details about the program and everything!

Nurisnglove15: One more thing, well a few more lol is the residency program a year long program? or is it just like a few months? and is this a guaranteed position after the residency is over? Also, would you mind sharing around how much is base pay for new grads? If you want you can PM!

At some point you might have to send out reference surveys to 4-5 people (which has to include 2 managers). That is towards the end, but just something to consider so you know who you will be sending those too.

Sorry it took so long to reply! The residency program is one year, and there is a two year total commitment required. So the residency year plus another year! Hope that helps! (:

That's so exciting! I love seeing people who have changed departments but still stayed at Children's. Look forward to meeting you as well!

I know I'll find this out soon, but could you tell me if there's a specific color of scrubs that department requires?
