Starting a thread for CHLA Spring 2025 cohort. 

Info session is this Friday 10/4 at 1pm via zoom.

The March cohort will begin on March 3, 2025. Applications will open on Friday, October 11 at 9 a.m. (PST) and close on Friday, October 25 at 12 p.m.

Qualifications: You are a new graduate or an RN with less than one year of nursing experience in any area by the start of the program

You have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Master of Science in Nursing **

**The following units will accept new graduates with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) for the March 2025 cohort: 5 East, 5 West, 6 East, 6 West, Duque, Emergency Department. RN residents accepted to the program with an ADN will be required to enroll in a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 2 years of hire.

Hi everyone! Has anyone had their interview yet? Would love some insight as to how it went and the questions that were asked. From previous cohort forums and glassdoor, I keep seeing that they're the essay questions. But I was wondering if there were any other questions asked aside from those? Do we have time to ask any questions at all LOL?

Hi all! Just finished my interview! They asked the three essay questions.

1. Why do you want to be a peds nurse & why CHLA?

2. How would you adapt your nursing care to be culturally relevant to pts/families?

3. Tell us about a time you provided pt centered care. (Any clinical story is fine but they prefer peds)

they said 2nd round interviews are from the 25th-5th & they're doing interviews all this week so we will most likely hear back by next week.

Of course! I changed my answers a bit. Before they asked the questions they said that they  do read the applications but they might not have been the ones who read my application!

Hey! I had my interview today as well, and it's pretty much a 15 min window to answer those three questions. The 15 min also includes your time to ask your questions! So it really depends on how long your answers are ((: Hope that helps!

Just finished my interview! They were so nice. Asked me the same 3 questions. Does anyone else's application now say last updated 11/8?

I just logged in to check the status on my application and I don't see it all? I only see positions I applied to months ago at CHLA. I have my first interview there today for CHLA so I'm confused why I'm not seeing my application?

hi all!! finished my interview today and they asked the same 3 questions! I was so nervous and prob only took 10-11 minutes to talk b/c my nerves were at an all time high! wondering if anyone took shorter than 15 mins as well, my mind is overthinking now ah!

Hi! I also finished in like 10-12 minutes LOL. But I made sure not to talk too fast and really explain my answers. They both were nodding along and writing things down and at the end of one my stories she gave a comment so I think it went OK. So don't stress about the time LOL I was also very short.
