Hey everyone, on 2nd interview week eve, I just wanted to extend some love and light to everyone. You will do great, you prepped for this, you've earned your spot to interview not once but TWICE. Do not forget who you are through all the nerves and really chime in to your inner morals and values. You GOT THIS! Make sure to wake up and have calm morning routine and don't do any last minute prepping, trust that you've done enough up to this point and go in and be yourself. Eat a good breakfast/lunch depending on when your interview time is and leave your home with atleast 45 min max to kill before your interview. I'll be logging off this forum until decisions go out so I can take care of my mental health and ease any nervousness. REMEMBER, "take a deep breath.. pull your shoulders back.. and be THE NURSE" 🤍✨ - Dr. I 🤍

To anyone interviewing with 6W today, good luck and you've got this!! If you're willing to share how it goes or give any tips, it would be much appreciated! 🤗

For anyone interviewing with NICU this week, it's a two-part panel, the first with a few nurse managers and the second part is more casual with nurses that work on the floor. It was interesting because I remember the nurse managers straight up telling me, "I'm pretty sure for the next part, the girls are just going to ask you the exact same questions..." and they did LOL. At least that's how it was last year!

OMG interesting, I wonder why niccu interviews like that😭 do you happen to remember any of the questions? And do you have any tips/advice?

There were a lot of basic interview stuff... tell me about yourself, why peds/CHLA/NICU, strengths and weaknesses. But they also asked things like how would you be culturally relevant, how do you handle stress/stressful shifts, a time you had a difficult patient, something about handling conflict with coworkers, a time you advocated for a patient.

I remember them saying that it's more so to get to know us because they know we're new grads who don't know anything really haha. I know it's hard because we're all so nervous LOL but I guess I would just say to let your personality show rather than give rehearsed answers you know what I mean? Hope that helps!

Just heard back from the heart institute this morning, I'm super super excited but also super nervous! I'll be interviewing next Monday, so if anybody has any advice or any info from the interviews before then, it would be greatly appreciated ☺️ best of luck to absolutely everyone, so excited for us all!!
