Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) New Grad Residency Nov 2023

Updated:   Published

I heard that interviews will start next week and I haven't seen a forum post about this cohort yet! Has anyone heard back to schedule interviews?

I'm waiting to hear back about the cardiac crosstrain position. I was interviews on sept 6.

Here's a facebook group I just made if those accepting their positions want to join!

Waiting to hear back interviewed with 4East and ED September 6. No email, call, or change to my application status.

I interviewed for the ED and I emailed the person who was scheduling my interviews about a status update. She just replied to me this morning saying that all offers have been made and best of luck to my future endeavors ? so I'm pretty sure that means I wasn't selected. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

During interview, I was told that we would be notified whether we got the position or not.
I am sorry To hear about your experience. I know you are going to be a wonderful nurse!

I also received a reply saying that all offers have been sent out. Best of luck to everyone who received an offer!

I got an email response saying we should hear back by Friday. And there is No update to my application status.

Fear not my friends who did not make it this cohort. The March 2024 cohort is coming up sooner than you think - in fact, applications open up in early October! I do feel that those of us who have gotten far in the application process fair better off this next time around, so there's def a potential upside to not being chosen for us!

Also, to those who gave me advise for the NCLEX - thank you so much! Just took it today, and I got the good pop up using the Pearson Vue trick!

SAME haha. "We've decided to concentrate our efforts into those who we believe match our current beliefs and needs for the hospital" like they didn't have to say all that. I'll apply again, but this time I won't hold any weight into the process because they can drop you at any time.

yeah I got the exact same email LOL. I wish they gave feedback like did someone do their precepting on a floor similar to the one I applied to? did they have more experience? haha but it's okay. it's nice the next application is coming up soon so it's not a huge wait to apply to something. guess we'll see what happens. are you going to reapply and do the same top two choices?
