Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Nurse Residency March 2022

Published

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread for the nurse residency program at CHOA for March 2022 (December 2021 graduates). Has anyone heard anything back yet?

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear it didn't go well. You heard back for the next steps so that's a good sign!!

What specialty?

The recruiter said that they’re currently recruiting for the CHOA Hughes Spalding location which she considered is the smaller hospital out of them all. The two open positions that they have are ER and General Peds Inpatient. Neither is my first choice but we’ll see how it goes. I’ll be doing a virtual interview since I’m out of town and if hired I’ll have to fly in to do a shadowing

Hi! Do you know what questions they asked during the virtual interview?

Does anyone know that new grad pay at CHOA?

I believe for new grads without previous experience (EMT, LPN, etc.) it was $29 when I interviewed last Fall.

Thanks ! I was offered a bit higher than $29 which is nice. Any tips starting as a NG there?

Good news! I just spoke to a recruiter last week who said nurses had received an increase in pay and rates have gone up.
I wouldn’t be able to answer your question as I ended up staying with the hospital system I was already employed with.

Can anyone tell me what the night differential and the weekend differentials are? Also the most recent new grad pay?
